📴 Offline-First Security: Expense Tracker operates entirely **offline**. Your transaction history, budget plans, income metrics, and customizable categories are stored locally on your device inside a secure SQLite database. We do **not** upload, monitor, or transmit your financial logs to any cloud server.
1. Information We Collect Locally
Because the app is offline-first, the following information is stored directly on your phone's storage:
- Financial Records: Income and expense transaction logs, including categories, dates, payment modes, and notes.
- Budget Targets: Weekly/monthly budget configurations and targets set for specific spend categories.
- App Preferences: Local settings, custom categories, currency preference, and UI theme adjustments.
2. Internet Permissions & Analytics
The app does not request or require internet permissions to track your expenses. We do not use third-party behavioral tracking SDKs. Any crash logging or device diagnostic reporting provided through the Google Play Store is anonymous and managed by Google.
3. Data Protection & Security
Your data is secured by your mobile operating system's standard application storage sandbox. No other applications on your device can access your Expense Tracker SQLite database.
4. Data Control & Deletion
Since all data remains on your physical device:
- You can instantly delete all local data by choosing **Clear Storage** or **Clear Data** under the application settings on your Android device.
- Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all transaction history, budgets, and custom category logs.
- For Google Play compliance, you can submit a deletion request through our Expense Tracker Deletion Portal.
